As a cold surge hits and temperatures plummet, to ensure that underprivileged groups within the village feel the warmth and care of society, Dingliao Village held a "Winter Charity Drive" outreach event today (18th). The event focused on providing care and distributing supplies to elderly individuals living alone as well as low-income and underprivileged households, aiming to deliver a sense of warmth and support to families in need during the cold winter. Taichung City Council Speaker Ching-chao Chang personally visited the site to distribute supplies and express his concern for the citizens. Wuqi District Director Guo-hong Wen also attended to pay respects on behalf of Mayor Xiu-yan Lu, thanking the Dingliao Village Office and various sectors of society for their benevolent acts.

Speaker Ching-chao Chang stated that the sharp drop in temperature during the winter season is a particularly difficult trial for underprivileged groups. He expressed gratitude to Dingliao Village Chief Zhong for his long-term dedicated management of village affairs and for proactively connecting social resources to ensure that love and care reach those in need promptly. The Speaker also emphasized that the Council will continue to support various social welfare policies and work hand-in-hand with grassroots village chiefs to jointly create a more compassionate society. District Director Guo-hong Wen explained that the District Office has long focused on the living needs of underprivileged groups. Through this winter charity event, they not only provide substantive material assistance but also hope to convey the power of social care and companionship, allowing villagers to feel the warmth and support of the government and society.
