Jia-xing Lin, Deputy Secretary-General of the IDIPC, stated that the Taichung TOP 10 GIFTS has entered its 17th year, cumulatively attracting thousands of businesses and selecting hundreds of outstanding brands. It is the most influential official selection event for the souvenir industry in Taiwan. Award-winning manufacturers not only symbolize that their quality and reputation have been recognized by the City Government, but it also helps enhance brand visibility and market competitiveness. Jia-xing Lin pointed out that this year, the event was moved to the City Hall Plaza for the first time. A large crowd poured in early in the morning, and participating vendors went all out to rally for votes. In addition to launching limited-time offers, they prepared hundreds or even thousands of gifts to reward supporting consumers, inviting the public to experience the diverse charm of Taichung souvenirs while voting and browsing the market.

This year's participating items cover various types, including traditional pastries, beverages, innovative baking, and lifestyle creative products. In addition to long-established brands, many young farmers, indigenous people, Hakka culture representatives, and social enterprises also participated, showcasing Taichung’s gift-giving style that combines cultural heritage with innovative energy. This year, the IDIPC even planned first prizes for two categories: "Pastries and Baking" and "Specialty Cultural and Creative Products" for the first time. The online voting ended on the 9th, accumulating over 70,000 votes in just three days, reflecting intense competition. Jia-xing Lin emphasized that "finalizing the shortlist is a form of recognition." The awards ceremony on the 11th will not only announce the first prize winners but also award the "Taichung Good Gift Label" to shortlisted stores, symbolizing the City Government and businesses working together to boost the economy and create business opportunities.

It uses mobile phone number binding for verification, and each person is limited to one vote. Voters must select 8 to 10 competing products. After completing the vote, they can participate in a lucky draw for a chance to win suncakes and other souvenir boxes. The organizers have also ensured that the selection process is fair, just, and open through mobile phone verification and by periodically changing the voting URL.

Furthermore, the event site will flexibly adjust queuing routes based on crowd conditions. Service desks and nursing staff are also on-site to provide immediate assistance. The public is urged to follow the guidance of staff to jointly maintain voting order and event safety.
