The results of the 5th "Taiwan Top 100 Pastries and Souvenirs" selection for 2025 have been announced. Duo Li Duo International Food Co., Ltd.'s "Unsweetened Golden Irwin Dried Mango," made from contracted Irwin mangoes from Yujing, Tainan, has won the prestigious Gold Award.
Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che stated that Yujing is the most representative Irwin mango production area in Taiwan. Duo Li Duo has long collaborated with local fruit farmers, transforming local agricultural products through professional processing into exquisite food items that embody both international standards and sustainability principles. He emphasized, "Duo Li Duo's dried mango is not just a snack; it carries the dedication of our farmers and a love for the land, allowing the world to taste the goodness of Tainan." This award affirms the company's efforts and marks a significant milestone in elevating the value of Tainan's agricultural products.
Director Lee Fang-Lin of the Tainan City Government's Agriculture Bureau pointed out that in recent years, the Agriculture Bureau has actively guided local fruit farmers to adopt contract farming, graded management, and branding strategies, helping agricultural products go directly from the farm to the international market. Duo Li Duo uses over 60-year-old Irwin mango trees from Yujing, applying a natural unsweetened and low-temperature drying process to fully preserve the fruit's flavor and nutritional value. This sets a new benchmark for the dried fruit market by making it a "healthy premium product." Director Lee commented, "This is a successful case of agricultural processing and branding. The city government will continue to support more businesses in moving toward high added value and internationalization, creating a win-win-win for farmers, businesses, and the region."
